Instagram spots in Seville are some of the most photogenic in Spain. Seville was named the best city to visit by Lonely Planet in 2018—and for good reason. The city boasts sights with rich history, lively culture, and a booming gastronomic scene. These are the Instagram spots in Seville I recommend if you are visiting or passing through; you can cover them in two days.

Top Instagram spots in Seville
1. Plaza de Espana
Built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition 1929 by Anibal Gonzalez, it’s a great example of mixing Moorish architecture with Renaissance. The plaza has a beautifully symmetrical design, and it’s surely an incredible site for Travel, Location, architecture as well as Lifestyle Content Creators.
The location is so versatile that it is a must-visit for your Instagram feed.
Photo tip: Although the plaza is open 24hrs and is free to enter, go early in the morning to beat the crowd. See the Plaza de España visitor information on Visit Seville.
Film spots: Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars: Attack of Clones

2. Real Alcazar de Seville
This royal palace and its gardens were built by Christians on top of a Moorish fortress, so you see both architectural styles in one visit. The spectacle is breathtaking at every turn.
My favourite photo corners are El Patio de Las Doncellas for courtyard symmetry, and the Salon de Embajadores for tiled walls and arches.
Photo tip: book Real Alcázar tickets on the official website well in advance. If your date is sold out, a guided tour often includes priority entry. Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best light. Game of Thrones filmed several scenes here.

3. Casa De Pilatos
If you only have time for one spot beyond Plaza de España, choose Casa de Pilatos. It is one of the most Instagrammable locations in Seville, with Renaissance and Mudejar details and a fine azulejo collection.
Photo tip: Casa de Pilatos is quieter than the Alcázar. We visited after lunch and had the courtyard almost to ourselves.

4. Catedral de Sevilla and La Giralda
The Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the third-largest church in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site too.
Originally it was a mosque in the 12th Century, then a Christian church before being converted to the Cathedral we see today.
Interesting fact: It is also the home of Christopher Columbus’s tomb, it was transferred here from Havana, Cuba during the Cuban revolution of 1902.
Photo tip: if you want to take pics from inside then go early in the morning and book tickets online in advance. I took pics from outside.

Bonus day trip: Alhambra, Granada
La Alhambra is not in Seville — it is in Granada, roughly 2 hours 30 minutes by car or train. If you have an extra day, it is one of the most photogenic palaces in Spain and worth the detour from Seville. The Court of Lions and the Hall of the Abencerrajes are standout Instagram spots. Book tickets months ahead on the official Alhambra website.

Best time to visit Seville for Instagram spots
